Achillea filipendulina, fernleaf yarrow. Perennial to USDA Zone 3, Achillea has yellow flowers on stems to 4 feet tall and ferny, silvery foliage. Great for cutting, drying, landscaping. Blooms in early summer the second year.
For cut or dried flowers, wait until all the blooms in the umbel have opened and pollen is visible; if cut too soon, the flowers wilt. Lasts over a week in the vase. To dry, hang upside down until stiff and then store in a dry place for use in autumn arrangements and wreaths.
0.5 gram pack. Approximately 3,000 seeds.
