Artichoke di Romagna / Roman (21-98)

Current stock: 43

Artichoke di Romagna —  Medium-large flower buds well covered with fleshy scales, without prickles. Great taste.  Comes from Puglia which is famous for its vegetables. It is the star of its own Artichoke festival in the fall.  Needs to be treated as a very tender perennial in the north, like a fig.  Not Franchi seed.  Approximately 50 seeds.

Best Artichoke Ever

i've been growing these for babies for about 7 seasons here in Lancaster PA. If you put some care into the growing and forcing, you can grow these first season with great success. They are super tasty, and productive too. Heavy feeders, but well worth the effort.
