| | I started this business five years ago. It started out as a hobby and became a full time operation. I continue doing it because it is a lot of fun. I especially love the contact with customers. Most of them have been extremely pleased with Seeds from Italy. Some of
the numerous comments I have received are below.
From Pennsylvania We await your 2004 Catalog...
Your seeds "made" our garden this summer. It produced and produced and produced. The second week of December and we are still harvesting Italian parsley. The pea crop was the largest and most flavorful we have ever grown. Risotto with fresh peas and parmesan......... The sage grew to almost 3' this first summer (From seed!!!).
From Washington This is the first year we have planted your tomato seeds from Italy, and we selected the Redorta and the San Marzano.
Both of these varieties produced very well, but the yield and quality of the Redorta was impressive! We have picked bushels from our 13 Redorta plants, and there are bushels more which are still ripening. We are extremely pleased with the size, quality and consistency of the fruit, gelatinous and practically no liquid. Wonderful flavor.
From New Hampshire. The Neapolitan basil is fantastic. It is so big, almost like an elephant ear
From Arizona. I wanted to let you know how the Rio Grande tomato is doing out here in Tucson, Arizona. I am very impressed, it is a strong plant, and the fruit is large and producing very, very well. It is slower than other tomatoes, but I have not had any problem with sun scald or blossom end rot, which is affecting all but the Rio Grande's.
From New Hampshire: Just a quick message to say thank you for the information you provide regarding seeds/growing/recipes, etc. I really look forward to reading through the latest catalog - the only problem is I will have to double the size of my garden next season ...
From New York. I am having the best season ever using your seeds. The salad is the very best.I am already looking forward to next season.
From Maine (regarding the recipes/cookbook reviews in the newsletter). Hi Bill, I've just read most of your newsletter - and thoroughly enjoyed it!
BUT you made me spend money on the Rustico cookbook!
From a Chef in Colorado. Just a note to let you know that I am very happy with your products. Generous packs of seed, phenomenal germination results... From
Worcester, Massachusetts. "Beautiful, fragrant basil leaves as big
as my hand. I grew San Marzano tomato plants standing over 6' tall with
fruit more delicious than I could ever have imagined. Rosemary, oregano,
basil & parsley all grew in abundance with very minimal attention"
