Softneck. Lorz Italian Garlic is an heirloom variety brought from Italy by the Lorz family when they immigrated to Washington state in the early 1900s. Lorz thrives in hot summers, becoming especially bold in flavor. It stores well for six to eight months. Lorz Italian Garlic is listed on Slow Food's Ark of Taste, a catalog of traditional foods that are considered in danger of being lost. Be sure to save some planting stock from this one! Large white bulbs with large fat cloves. Garlic from Filaree Garlic Farm in Washington.  1/4 Pound is approximately 15-20 cloves.

WE CANNOT SHIP GARLIC OUTSIDE THE U.S. OR TO IDAHO OR HAWAII.

Garlic should be planted when you are about 4-6 weeks from a hard freeze. Please inspect bulbs upon receipt and notify us immediately of any concerns. If you can't plant right away, keep the bulbs in a dry spot with good air circulation, as diseases can develop on garlic that is not stored properly. Complete planting and growing instructions are available here.
