Lettuce Romaine Bionda Lentissima. Large, fairly tight head with bright green leaves. Classic romaine taste and texture. 55-60 days. Best for spring and fall, but will take some summer heat. Lentissima means "slow", meaning this variety is slow to bolt. 6 gram packet.

Lentissima - a good name for it (very slow)

This is a slow growing lettuce - I ate it more like a leaf lettuce than a head lettuce. It's very hardy - we've already had two light frosts and it's still lgrowing (I do cover it when frosts are predicted). It's a nice color. I would plant it again.
