Growing Italian  Vegetables

Will they grow here.  In short, yes.  Italy has a varied climate just like the United States.  In the south, it is warm and the climate is similar to Southern California (Mediterranean).  Northern Italy has a temperate climate similar to the Northern United States, although the winters are not quite as cold.  Franchi Sementi is located in Bergamo (north of Milan) and has a climate similar to the Middle Atlantic States.  All of our Italian seeds will grow here in the United States.  For the most part, all our vegetables will grow without making any changes in the way you grow.

The "Growing our Vegetables" section has detailed growing instructions and information on how to start your own seeds.  If you would like to extend your growing season three or four weeks on each end, check out "Extending the Season"
