Excellent for cooking
Grew this for cooking, in Southern Vermont where 2019 presented challenging conditions. Got large fruit but only one per plant. The flesh is fairly thick and the fruit is very easy to peel. Yield was more than 2 kg per squash, prepared. Makes great pumpkin soup although technically a squash. Good flavor when cooked, delicate and sophisticated. I will definitely grow it again. Won a ribbon at the fair!

Quintale seme Giallo
This is just based on one plant. Didn't pollinate well. Got one squash about 8 lbs. The others grew to softball size and then quickly shriveled. I don't know about using for a Jack-o-lantern but maybe whole as a decoration. Made pumpkin pie with some and froze the rest. The flavor was outstanding. Made a pumpkin pie lover out of several folks that said they didn't like pumpkin pie. So 5 stars for flavor but not the best producer. Grown in Sonoma County, CA.
