Artichokes in Minnesota
Just for fun I was able to grow these in Minnesota last year (2018) as an ornamental. I started them end of March indoors and transplanted in mid-May. I should have spaced them further apart but was able to get one of 10 plants to flower and produce artichokes by late August. They are very impressive plants and very attractive as a flower. I plan to give them more room this year and try a few other varieties.
