Cabbage Cuor di Bue Grosso - Oxheart Cabbage. Impressive conical head with tightly packed leaves. Early cabbage for spring or fall planting. Nice sweet taste. Excellent fresh in salads or cooked. Can be planted 12-14 inches apart. These will get pretty good sized. 65-75 days. 6 gram packet, approximately 1100 seeds. Approximately 190-300 seeds per gram.

Sam 2023 season: Started and grew this variety in 5gal grow bags at mid season. Will grow them again in 2024, but will likely step up to 7gal bags. Germination was excellent. Grew well. One or two leaned over but continued growing to maturity. Left them go until well after frost (a little longer than I should have) and had a couple split, but remained usable. The flavor was sweeter than other cabbage and the color tends to be a light yellow. Taste is so light and sweet that you'll wonder if you're really eating cabbage. Steamed with butter and salt is all that's needed. Imagine it would be good in salad, soup and tomato sauce dishes.
