Onions! I plant onions! I eat onions! I love onions. I also trial onions. Lots and lots of onions. One of the things I have noticed about onions is that the germination is horrible. Not these babies. All three of the onions I trialed from Franchi had a 99% germination rate. Now about these beauties, the Rossa Savonese is somewhat of a squashed round. It's very sweet and mild. Not the earliest onion, but did not bolt in my day neutral climate, even when the temperature heated up. You can harvest these early for the bbq, or if you just can't wait.
