Endive/Escarole Gigante Degli Ortolani (121-1229)

A semi-late variety, a vigorous plant with a voluminous head. The outer leaves are oblong and midgreen in colour with upright inner leaves that self-blanch well and form a full, compact head. Particularly recommended for production in the South and some coastal areas of Central Italy (zones 9 and 10), it is a tough rustic variety with good resistance to low temperatures. Seed sourced from Sais Sementi.
