Softneck - Sicilian Artichoke is an heirloom from the Island of Sicily, and a mild and friendly variety added to dishes that just need a hint of garlic flavor. This cultivar forms very tight bulbs that are hard to pop apart. It is, however, worth it because this trait seems to be why they store longer than many other varieties; easily 10 months, with some lasting well over a year. Sicilian Artichoke does very well in the Southern US and in the Midwest. Popular due to its heavy yields and long storage (usually until the next harvest). This is a good variety for braiding.

1/4lb is approximately 15-20 cloves, 1/2lb is approximately 30-40 cloves.

Due to limited quantities, please limit purchase to a maximum of 3lbs per variety.

WE CANNOT SHIP GARLIC TO IDAHO or HAWAII, OR OUTSIDE THE U.S.  

Garlic should be planted when you are about 4-6 weeks from a hard freeze. Please inspect bulbs upon receipt and notify us immediately of any concerns. If you can't plant right away, keep the bulbs in a dry spot with good air circulation, as diseases can develop on garlic that is not stored properly.
