Lettuce Red Salad Bowl (78-25)

Lettuce Red Salad Bowl. Fast growing deep red looseleaf with red crinkly leaves. 35 days to cutting size, 55 or so days to full size. To use as a cutting lettuce, make succession plantings every 3 weeks. Broadcast sow in a bed from 3 weeks or so before last frost, trying to get seeds an inch or so apart. Cover or rake in lightly; keep bed moist until lettuce emerges (7-14 days depending on temperature). To harvest either grab a bunch of plants and cut with a knife or pull entire plant. For full size, either leave some of the lettuce in the broadcast area or plant 2-3 seeds every 12 inches, thin to one. Space rows 12 inches apart. 5 gram packet, approximately 5,000 seeds. Approximately 600-1200 seeds per gram.
