Crisp leaf type. You can pick them before they head up or after; same great taste and texture. Usually work well during summer heat. Either start inside 6 weeks before set out, 2-3 seeds/cell, thin to one. Set out six week transplants from 3-4 weeks before last frost date until pretty much the middle of September. Space plants 12". If direct seeding, one seed every 2", initially thin to one every six inches. Pick the middle one at baby size and let other grow to full size head. 5 gram packet. Approximately 600-1200 seeds per gram.
