Herb, Ortica Nettle, Stinging Nettle  A perennial plant growing over 3 feet tall in the summer.  The soft green leaves have a strongly serrated margin.   Nettles are still used medicinally and make a cleansing spring tonic and a nourishing vegetable if gathered when the leaves are young.
