Winter Squash Tonda Padana aka Americana Tondo. One of the most beautiful of the winter squashes. It has alternating grey and green stripes with orange ribs. The orange flesh is sweet and dry, great for soup, gnocchi, and roasting. So pretty you can use it as an ornamental pumpkin for autumn decorating, then cook it. 4-5 pound fruits hold well in storage. 105 days. 4 gram packet. Approx. 5 seeds per gram. Approximately 7-15 seeds per gram.

Sidney Riley Easy to grow, and stores forever. The flesh is dry and sweet. Really delicious. I continue to plant Tondo Padana each year.

Nichole in MT Everyone should grow this winter squash. They get large, have beautiful thick flesh and make the best soups, pies, pudding, pasta sauces, etc. I'm amazed at how much puree you can get from one squash. I freeze the puree in 2 cup increments to make it easy to use all year.
