For those who enjoy endives and escaroles, this is the packet to get. I have grown them for years on a 5x3 spot and it supplies my family of three with salad all summer long. A great cut-and-come-again salad. For the cold weather that we have here, there is another surprise. When winter is over, you have all this salad growing again. Just add a dressing of compost over the top and a little fertilizer. One of the best packets of mesclun salads.

I planted these seeds last year in one of my largest pots (very late in the season), and they seemed to sprout almost instantly! A lovely spritz of water in both the mornings and evenings, saw them germinate in less than a week. This was my first endeavor to grow escarole, and I was quite pleased with the seeds and the resulting plants. My fall salads and meals were enhanced with this fantastic mix of flavors!
