This is a cute little onion, even prettier when braided up. Don't even think of growing this down south. This is not the best onion for my day neutral conditions. These onions will bolt if the temperature gets too hot in the early spring. I planted about 100 of these and got about 60. We had a VERY hot spring. The 60 I got were beautiful and tasty. I hung about 5 of these and they were still in perfect condition 3 months later, so I suspect these are a candidate for a medium length storage onion if you live in the north. These were mid season for us, and about 2-3 inches, very flat and stronger tasting. I love the taste.
