Ideal for Los Angeles County
We grew this in our backyard in Pasadena California last year, and it was one of the best producers for our area compared to onion varieties we have tried in previous years. I think this type is better adapted to our soil type, which tends to harden over the growing season. This year we are currently planting Lunga di Firenze along with Tropea Rossa Tonda so I will report back about which one performs better!

Best torpedo of the 2012 onion trials
I harvested many uniform beautiful torpedos. I am in a day neutral area and these onions performed very well for us. This is a sweet onion.
