Easy to grow, and stores forever. The flesh is dry and sweet. Really delicious. I continue to plant Tondo Padana each year.

Everyone should grow this winter squash. They get large, have beautiful thick flesh and make the best soups, pies, pudding, pasta sauces, etc. I'm amazed at how much puree you can get from one squash. I freeze the puree in 2 cup increments to make it easy to use all year.
